Trending @Infosys; Confusion for switching based on my skills.Please anyone help me

I have joined as a fresher.I have 2.5 years of experience. I have been trained in a different technological skills in stream training.I was in bench. So, my unit got changed. I am working on a project which is completely different skills. I am not getting any opportunities to work in my primary skills in the project. Can I try to switch with my primary skills rather than the real time project experience that I am working.
