Confused on how to proceed with my career

I am currently working as an application developer/ software engineer for a legacy application that utilizes ASP.NET, C++ and Python as my tech stack. I am also being trained for Azure based application developer and have already obtained AZ-900 certification and will soon give exam for AZ-204.

However, I only have practical experience working with just Python. Even in my college days, I was interested in AI/ML and studied for it instead of web development. Even in my current role other than product maintenance, I have mostly coded in Python. Also web application development is a completely new field for me and while I am able to work on current apply since it is a software, for my personal projects with .net, I get stuck.

I am confused to wether continue on the current path to be a cloud application developer, or should I focus on being an Azure AI Engineer. I am confused that if I choose AI Engineer path, I will not be able to justify my current work experience to a recruiter.

What will you guys advice me?
