Trending @Accenture; Confused between Cognizant and Accenture — help me decide!

Hey everyone! 👋 Posting this on behalf of my friend — she’s looking for some advice and suggestions regarding a possible role change. She’s a fresher, so any insights would really help!

She graduated in Computer Science and has been working as an Analyst Trainee at Cognizant since June 10, 2025. She recently completed her training and got an internal project as a Developer on the HR Modernization team. Her current package is 2.8 LPA.

Recently, she also received an offer from Accenture (dated October 8, 2025) for a Cloud Tech Support Associate role, with a package of 3.5 LPA.

She’s a bit confused about what to do — should she stay at Cognizant in her current developer role, or move to Accenture for the cloud tech support position?

Would really appreciate your thoughts and suggestions!

Anytime developer role is better. Now pay is less but will increase in future for sure

And once into support..it's kinda hard to get out..

Agreed, also in support role she will be liable to work in shifts (including night shift), which in later point of time affects health

Completely depends on her, what her goals objectives are in life.

If she's a developer there and is good in it and enjoys it stay there don't jump as a tech support engineer in Accenture. There won't be any learning, shift role might be there as it's support.

If she's looking for hike and money and 60k per year matters for her and she's not enjoy coding she can switch.
