Trending @Capgemini; Confused About Bench Situation at Capgemini After Joining SCB Project Offer

I joined Capgemini on 16th May. Before joining, the recruiter told me that I would be assigned to the SCB project, and I accepted the offer based on that. However, after joining, they said I needed to clear a HackerRank assessment and a client interview. I cleared the HackerRank assessment, and then they enrolled me in a two-week digital school training. Once the training was completed, they moved me to the bench without any client interview and did not provide any reason for this.

Even on the bench, I am not receiving many calls. Two interviews were conducted randomly, where they just asked a few questions and gave negative feedback. They are also asking me to come to the office five days a week and assign continuous trainings, which is very difficult to cope with.

I am unsure about my current situation and would like suggestions on what I should do.

Welcome to reality of capgemini. I know folks who have been on bench for almost 2 yrs and got terminated because they couldnt be offered projects.

Are you serious? How can people be on the bench for so long

Yes. They are incapable of assigning projects and then threaten you with mails like BTO, Ocean assessments, and what not. They even have installed sapience buddy application to track your activities and expect you to stay logged in even there is no work and keep engaged in stupid digital course which are no good. The ocean assessment is shitty and is of no use. I am not sure how helpful is hacker rank. Recently they are even tracking office hours. There is no concept of appraisals. If you raise your voice, you will be put on pip and terminated.

Its better to move for higher studies or get into a startup. Pls dont waste time. Even if you switch you need experience(thinking this many of us wasted our career) . Better resign and secure your future.

They are scammers bro. They will say that we were directly assigned to a project before the offer letter and will be asked to attend client interviews once you join. And all the client interviews will be tough and we will stay on bench.

One person told me he attended 4 rounds of interviews for a support project but still got rejected in the final round. Every interviewer randomly asks questions from a set, and if answers don’t match, they give negative feedback. There are also job fairs where we need to attend interviews in person, but they don’t share details about the account or tech stack, and most questions aren’t even related to our resume.

Capgemini is assigning trainings irrespective of our interests, asking us to complete daily HackerRank assessments and projects, and forcing us to work from office. If we apply through international job portals, there’s no response. Even if we want to leave, we must serve notice and attend BTO. Overall, nothing feels good here and it’s spoiling careers.

Speak to your BU HR and connect frequently with RMG spoc , ask them to give interview calls. Meanwhile start preparing for interviews

This never worked. The HR simply ignores. Many of them dont have any idea who spoc is. Even the tagging done is irrelevant to skills and they cant help it. I dont know what makes them so busy. Even the prime minister has time to address the nation.
