This appears to be a widespread practice, potentially driven by HR targets for workforce reduction. While layoffs are understandable, forcing an employee to resign unwillingly is considered unethical and unacceptable. The organization seems to be run in an unprofessional manner, with bloody HR (MAFIA) practices that include last-minute offer cancellations and sending any employees home without having lunch in company after forced termination.
