Trending @Wipro; Company Switch

Hi everyone, I am looking forward to your support and suggestions.

I have been working in Wipro from last 5.5 years. I was part of Mtech program (WIMS) so I had no other option except to stay but now that I have completed Mtech and desperately looking for outside opportunity , I am facing below three issues.

  1. My manager is doing micromanagement and not giving me any space to learn as he feels I'm looking for other opportunities outside hence it is really difficult for me to prepare for opportunities outside.

2 My notice period is 3 months after Mtech completion hence none of the recruiter is showing interest and if I'm telling 2 month notice period so they are asking to show last date mail/document.

  1. I am planning to get release from the project (not easy but still) but then I'm worried what if I will go in LOP with no job offer. So not sure what to do whether ask for release or not.

Current working technology- Python, Ansible, Docker, Azure,

Thank you so much, Your suggestions are most welcome.🙏

My suggestion is don't come onto bench as it is very difficult to get a project nowadays. Keep applying, you may find a company that will wait for 3 months.

You've got to make time for yourself to study. Prepare yourself so hard that you will be confident enough to get the release and apply outside.
And, honestly telling, this might not be the right time to get on bench IF you are not prepared enough. Coz i can see a lot and lot of guys not getting any project oppurtunities. If you have one, be with it, BUT you have to make time for your preparation as well.

Try to apply for service based companies as most of them will accept 3 months notice period. Market is recovering so you will get opportunities. Do not go to bench without any offer in hand.
I have one question what will be experience considered as you were part of WILP. Whole 5.5 or experience only after completing degree?
