What should I do if my laptop gets stolen? Are there any steps I can take to track it or protect my data? Also, whom should I contact in this situation?

Firstly infoem your HM and PM. Then service ticket for stolen laptop. File a police compliant and take FIR copy from them...you need to upload it while requesting for new laptop.
