Company changed the role I applied from SDE-3 to Lead Engineer

I'm currently interviewing at a company (finished DSA and two Android rounds and one Security round) and tomorrow is supposed to be culture fit round.

Just got a call from recruiter that they are changing my role from SDE-3 (what I applied for) to Lead Engineer. Should I anticipate any changes during culture fit?

If I pass that too, since I'm now going to skip two levels (SDE-3 and SSE) how much should I ask in package?

My present one is attached here. Have 5 years and 8 months of total experience, of which 5 years is Android experience.

Typically, SDE-3 is roughly equivalent to SSE

I have seen atleast 42 base for lead / staff engineer roles

Ask around for the salary range because there is always a salary range. if you can’t get then try to find people from the company with same position and check their previous org salary(which ever you can find) and then add 30-40% hike on each switch.. then after for at least 30% hike over that.

other way, you can ask them how much is your budget as you found my more eligible for the lead role ? if they don’t say then avg 20-30% hike you get with each promotion but still depends on company to company.

quote higher than you think you should get paid on the role because they want you bad as you can see and tech lead is part managerial role too.
