Company asking for current payslips before sharing their offer letter
I've been asked to share identity documents and salary slips of my current company after clearing interviews. Isn't this done after getting the offer letter/ LOI ?

Usually it's done before offer release but after offer discussion. Companies wanted to ensure if the numbers you quoted as previous CTC is right. Nothing new. Happens everywhere
Co should not need to evaluate candidate salary based on precious CTC after candidate has cleared eligibility criteria for the role. Just give them sensible monies and decent culture. The person will happily stay there :)

Everyone, don't you think it's wrong practice?
When candidate has cleared interview and HR thinks he/she is best suited for role then release offer according to budget (can understand negotiation here and there) but deciding candidate salary based on last CTC is wrong in my opinion

Tcs and accenture also ask me the same

No, this is a standard procedure 95%+ they ask for docs before rolling out offer
Yeah same infosys also do
