I'm working offshore in my project. As per the policy, if I'm working on holidays, I'm entitled to get compensatory off. But my manager is not approving my company off requests. How should I escalate this issue further?
Might be you manager is very rude
Maybe because corresponding US/foreign holidays you will get off, so things even out.
Or just apply for extra wfh and don’t work on those days
Same here i worked on weekends last week but comp off didn't approved and manager told he will approve but its not approved
OD approved? comp off has long time to auto reject. Wait till then , after that , if u worked 1 holiday, apply 1 WFH n don't work , this makes things even. Next time before working on holiday, make sure u get written confirmation that comp off and on duty will be approved. If no confirmation don't work.
Before working on weekends make sure to ask if they are ready to give u comp offs
If not don’t work
Because they are not going to pay u extra
