Commuting between cities
I work at a services firm and have got a promotion to run a team
I'll have to commute between cities as I can't shift my family the organization is fine with that but also I just feel it's going to be too hectic and not worth it
From a compensation wise it was a massive bump and also going to be in a leadership role now
Looking for advice from senior professionals who have been in these situations, how did you manage, did it work out in long term
I have been WFH for the last 9 months so that was also a factor
Leadership position requires a lot of in person connects, commuting is a terrible idea tbh unless it’s just 2 hrs daily and that too will be hectic.
But since you’ll be in leadership, means you can work or take meeting from your phone while commuting. In long run, it’s gonna hamper your health.
