Write a crisp three paragraph email. Nothing too big. Don’t feel the need to tell about all your life story and projects. Just the top ones. Make sure you link your best project at the top and make the email easy for the reader

Strong but brief intro, describe why you’ll be the best candidate for the job. Attach resume if mailing, not required on portals like angellist.
No referrals required, worked in orgs where people were 3+ degrees of connections distant

Very low success rate for me. Tried with 8-10 people
