Hi all, I’m currently working at Oracle as a Functional Consultant, with 5 years of total experience and 3 yr relevant ex in oracle cloud fusion
I’ve received two offers and would really appreciate any advice, Here’s a comparison:
Offer 1: Cognizant Position: Senior Consultant Domain: HCM technologies (Oracle Fusion, SAP, SuccessFactors, etc.) Role Type: Client-facing, external implementation/consulting Experience Level: 5 years Salary: ₹21 LPA (₹20 LPA fixed) Work Mode: Hybrid
Offer 2: Deloitte India Position: Consultant/Senior Consultant - yet to confirm Domain: Oracle Cloud HCM & ERP Risk Management Role Type: Client-facing with focus on Cloud Security, ERP Risk Management, SoD, GRC and Advanced Controls across HCM, Finance, and Procurement Experience Level: 5 years Salary: ₹23 LPA (₹21 LPA fixed) Work Mode: Hybrid
Between the two, Deloitte seems better for your career. It offers higher pay (₹23 LPA vs ₹21 LPA), focuses on Oracle Cloud (your expertise), and gives you specialized skills in security/risk management - which are valuable long-term. The brand name also adds more weight to your profile.
While Cognizant gives broader HCM exposure, Deloitte's niche in Oracle Cloud aligns better with your 3 years of Fusion experience. Plus, GRC/security skills are in high demand across implementations.

Go with Deloitte
Deloitte is better if you’re highly motivated individual and can stretch. Growth will be much faster here.
