
Cognizant HR negotiation
Hello grapes, needs some advice or information from people might be working in cognizant or got an offer from them at some point in their career. So recently I got selected for GenAI Engineer in cognizant. My current CTC is 10 LPA. I asked them for 16. They said they can only do max of 14 because my experience is only 4.5+ years and to do 16, they would need a business approval for this. Then they said during business approval they might ask for second round of interview and if I don't clear second round they will fully reject me.
All this is legit or are they just trying negotiation techniques so that I agree with whatever they are offering.
Please share your experiences. Need advices and information if you have faced any HR situation with cognizant.

Ask them is it project specific hiring, who is the client.
If it is project specific hiring then it might be the case, but if it is general hiring, don't settle for less and take the risk i woukd say

This seems like a gimmick, to scare you so that you drop the demand yourself.
But even if there is slightliest bit of chances of happening that, don’t worry, be confident
You will clear the round, as you have already cleared.
Don’t worry mostly it is not going to happen.

If they have rolled out the offer they are on the positive path. You need to perform your worst to get dropped in your current scenario 😉 hope you got the answer.
