Coding: Specialisation vs generalisation

For a person working in the software dev industry for ~8years and scaling up the ladder, does it make sense to have more focus of a specific programming stack (for eg. Deep knowledge in Java, Node, React) or be a generalist jack of all trades.(basics of Java, Golang, Python etc) This is not a R&D based role or project.

Please comment in case of any other thoughts.
