Coding for Finance
Hey all, I'm a Commerce final year student. I have a decent amount of knowledge in Finance however I wanted to learn more about Coding in Python for Finance. I'm hearing quite frequently now that Python is a desired skill and could be used to automate tasks so thought I might as well work on that.
Just wanted to know if Python is the preferred language that I should be going with and also if there are any resources that I could refer to, that'd be great!
Keep in mind please I'm an absolute beginner, with no knowledge of coding whatsoever.

Python is a good gateway language. I’d say learning Python and becoming really good at Excel are good places to start. Master both power Excel features as well as scripting

I'm decent with Excel, can you tell a bit more about what Power Excel includes and also what actually is scripting?
