Hey everyone,
A bit of background — on paper, I’ve completed one year since the start of my corporate journey, but in reality, it’s only been about five months since I actually started working as an Associate Network Engineer (the rest was just training).
About a month ago, my technical manager texted me saying I’m doing good, and later on a call he asked about my learning progress — basically what I’ve been learning and how I’m improving.
Since then, he’s brought up the same question two or three more times, and I’m honestly not sure why he’s suddenly so focused on my learning updates within such a short span. Could this be related to the upcoming appraisal cycle since I’m about to complete a year? But as far as I know, the decisions for this cycle should’ve been made by now — so I’m confused about what’s really going on 🫠🤔
