Claude is fun and scary at the same time

Is it just me, or do you guys feel this too? When AI writes flawless code from just a few prompts, I feel more uneasy than impressed. Something we’ve spent years learning…done in seconds! Curious to know how others are feeling about this shift?

It's better to target infrastructure roles like cloud/Devops building systems than to write code.

Those roles take years to master and get trained in .

It's all about the mindset of the individual if he can then he will

I’m totally with you, I look at people who are unaware of this working in fields that will be impacted very soon. Like Testing, HR, etc. Those who will upskill with AI won’t be impacted in these sectors but the one’s who are careless right now. I feel afraid for them and definitely I am myself scared as hell. What are we gonna do? Most of the world is in IT 🥲 We have to find alternates.

Even if 100% workforce upskills themselves, still the negative impact will come and hit.. unfortunately in India, where the most of the corporate is all about "support providers" - that's the endpoint. Sooner or later.

Education system is gonna change. It's going to be more personalised.

Yeah, AI is doing a lot of harm, but that's what a revolution does. Personally I am more excited to be in this age and what's gonna come in next 5 years.

I'm with you......

It is really scary seeing AI doing wonders within seconds. As a developer I feel like I'm losing my value..

Still have hope on AI bubble burst

Think like this. AI can:

  • Generate code
  • Suggest patterns
  • Accelerate development But it still struggles with:
  • Complex production architecture
  • Debugging real-world distributed systems
  • Making trade-offs under constraints
  • Owning failures

That’s where we are still critical.

I feel relieved when i don't have to write the same boring for loops or stuff like that.. I then try to understand what it has written and what syntax did it use.. Let it do the grunt work and you orchestrate it..
I feel people who make the most of AI and get work done fast will be ok..

Bhai kon se company me ho ... Yrr I am using GitHub Copilot with claude 4.6 opus model. It has my whole repository details and it's not even able to fix a single time. Pta nahi code complexity tum sab ke org me kya hai kya nahi but mere me to nahi hota ... Rahi baat prompt pe gyan mat dena wo mujhe ache se aata hai and not even me my teammates.

But haan it helps when we have some redundant work, package update.
