I have a question regarding how to represent my total work experience. I worked for 2 years, then took a 6-month career break. After that, I rejoined the same company (Infosys) as an intern for 6 months, followed by 1 year of full-time employment. This makes my total association with the company 3 years. However, when I apply for job opportunities, I usually mention only 1 year of experience (post-internship), and my resume does not get shortlisted. I noticed that if I apply as a 3-year experienced candidate, I am more likely to receive interview calls. My concern is: Am I eligible to present my total experience as 3 years, even though there was a 6-month break and a 6-month internship period? I would appreciate guidance on how to correctly represent this experience on my resume.
