Trending @HCL; Clarification on OPD Claim Policy under Medical Insurance
I have opted for the Medical Insurance OPD premium and would like to understand the specifics of the OPD claim policy. Can someone please clarify the following:
- Is the sum assured of INR 26,000 applicable as a total annual limit for OPD claims?
- Or is it a per OPD visit limit, allowing claims up to INR 26,000 for each visit?
Understanding this will help me plan my medical expenses more effectively throughout the year. Looking forward to your guidance.

There are 3 slabs based on premiums you choose. Like 8000 , 20000, 26000 . This covers medicine, consultation. And aart from this 4000 for lab investigations and annual health checkup and another 14000 for dental, spectacles and hair related other treatments prescribed by doctor. No cosmetic treatments are covered in opd like aligners, cleansing

In induction they told us that 26k will be the limit to claim every time we utilise OPD
