Clarification on notice period
Have resigned from my current organization on Nov 28 in HR tool. Manager reached out to me to reconsider the resignation via phone. I confirmed on Dec 5 that I m not reconsidering and decided to move. Now my manager says that your notice period starts from Dec 5. It should be from Nov 28, but he says it will be from Dec 5. May I know what to do in this case?
It starts from 28th. Get the HR involved. Read yhem the terms of your appointment. This may be a messy exit
I talked to manager. He says that you can go and convince your new employer to extend joining date by a week. He is telling you should not join new organization if they don't extend your notice period by a week which means they are not trustworthy. He said I will match your offer and it's better you work here.
He is telling I m extending your notice period by a week because client needs you.
