Children of government officials

GV has a good number of people whose parents are/were in some state/central department (any post, any grade pay).

Most of them are in corporate setup now (jobs, startups) along with others. And everyone has an opinion about policies and administrative reforms needed for Indian corporate landscape.

Apart from politicians, a major part of this responsibility lies with bureaucracy.

Looking back at their parent’s job, would they say their parents did their job honestly without any corruption?

Yes, 100%
System is bad!

I come from a family of bureaucrats, and in my experience, at least WRT class one officers, most of them aren't corrupt, but the few that are corrupt are corrupt at tremendous scales. At the clerical level, it's vice versa.

not a parent but my brother. He is quite honest but this led to mental pressure from the peers and he is getting depressed day by day. Hopefully he will leave his job soon.
