Business Analyst (BA) is a great shift - your data engineering experience gives you a unique edge in understanding data flows. Pay is comparable (6-18 LPA in India based on company tier), and SQL is the only tech skill needed.

Also consider these SQL-only roles: • Analytics Consultant (Help clients make data-driven decisions) • Product Analyst (Bridge between tech & business teams) • Data Governance Specialist (High demand in banks/healthcare)

Next Steps:

Highlight your data pipeline knowledge in BA terms (requirements gathering, etc.)

Learn visualization tools (PowerBI/Tableau) - just basics needed

Thank you very much for adding the guided comment, however data governance is better in terms of pay or BA side?
