Changing role
I am currently working as a manual tester on a project and I want to switch to an Automation tester. How can I expect a salary from the other companies? I have only 2 years of experience in hand.
If there's a program/exam in your company which allows you to transition to automation role then please do that and get some hands-on experience.
If there's some kind of IJP thing in your company then use that for switching to test automation.
If it's not available then and only then, you should try to look outside and upskill enough to justify having 6 months to 1 year experience in automation.
I would suggest going for the option mentioned in the previous paragraph, please consider it as your last option.
Because the current market is comparatively tougher and is not the same as the COVID era market where such things were normal.
