Changing base location
Hi Everyone,
I'm from Karnataka, but I'm tagged to Pune as base location.
Due to sudden demise of my father I'm finding it difficult to work from Pune location as I need to travel back to my native to look after my mother.
But HR is not giving permission to change my base location
Is there any way I can convince or change my base location.
I raised in ultimatix for deputation from Pune to Indore. Got it approved by manager in 2min. Sent an email to RMG and HR about the date from which I was going to Join deputed branch. Thats it. I didn’t requested anybody but actually informed.
Do not inform HR and Manager just report to nearest location and your office hrs and swipe in will be calculated
Raise the travel request in the gess apply for self initiated transfer. And get your managers approval. And start visiting the nearest office.
Facing the similar situation, HR and RMG are not allowing me to transfer to my nearest location i.e Gurgaon or Noida, my mother has passed away recently, I have my father and younger sister to look after. I have completed 1.5 years in TCS but they’re are not allowing me to change my base location.
Bro just discuss with your manager and self initiate the transfer .. and it is easiest if you are unallocated... and start reporting to that location
Explain the same to your project Manager and then raise the travel request....HR Just needs approval from Project to initiate transfer if Project Manager is Ok with you transfer...I got transferred from Chennai to hyd last month in the same process...
For me base location rmg rejected saying you have to complete 2 years in TCS.
Simply talk to your manager if HR is not agreeing with it so that they can help you in resolving that issue with your transfer
If you are bench look for a project in Karnataka location, get allocated and then raise company initiated transfer request
Sorry for your loss. Discuss with your manager and raise a request for long term deputation to your preferred location. It will be simpler and give you a breather to sort out things. Hope it works out for you.
What if we don’t have a project at that location. Is SWON necessary to get the location changed?
