Hi everyone, I am planning to raise a location transfer request from Pune to Jaipur on 26th September. After that, I am thinking of attending the pune office on 29th September (Monday) and move out of Pune on 30 sep then taking around 2 weeks of leave to settle things.
My people's lead is suggesting that I should not raise a transfer request as our leadership is getting changed.
I just wanted to check if this is the right way to go about it — especially regarding the timing. After raising a transfer request, how many days should I ideally wait before going to the new location? Any suggestions or experiences would really help.
I recently went through this process. I raised the EIT request in mid-May and received manager approval on the same day. On July 1st, I got confirmation that I could start visiting the new office location.
One key rule I discovered:
If you raise the request before the 13th/14th of a month, your new location gets assigned from the start of the next month. If raised and approved on/before 13th sept than you will get new location tagged on Oct
If you raise it after the 13th, the assignment shifts to the month after next. If raised and approved later than 13/14th Sept you will new location tagged from Nov.
