Guess I was wrong.
My understanding was most chains have some protection against dust and stuff and doesn’t need constant maintenance. However bikes like Royal Enfield which purposefully use older styles don’t have any cover or protection and they definitely need to lube every two weeks

Oooooo got it.

Almost all bike now use open cover because it is safer than closed cover chain. In case if the chain breaks it will not stuck in the sprocket and skid the wheels.

Currently there is a alternative belt type modification for Royal Enfield bikes in the market.

I never tested how much life it gives or impact on the performance.

Only for bikes with open chain system or something. Like Royal Enfield

Lubing is the easy part. Cleaning the chain & the sprocket is the main game.
