Centralised configuration spring boot

Is it advisable to put all microservices configs in a central repository. Like spring centralised configuration. What advantages it have over maintaining configs within each service itself. Like if we want to change any config it requires deployment of that central repository. Then we have to call endpoint exposed by respective ms.
