Trending @Infosys; Catched up in a chaos in infosys
I have joined infosys as an Associate consultant after my campus placement.I am from Hr background and now after the training the project is entirely technical and am not able to develop my interest in the project.Hardly in the team anyone helps to understand.
I approached my project manager and expressed my concern .So she said to resign or have a leadership call.I have a call done with the leadership team they have me three options To be associated with the current project or they map me into process and business consulting projects.I have choosen the second option which is process and business consulting.
Now inspite of clear discussion the project manager is forcing me to work on the project and during shift time. When I disagree too her.she made an email dropped by the leadership team on the same day after an hour to work on the existing project
Anyone please help me to take a way out

1st time hearing this. HR in technical project.. most likely the account may be expecting a HR package to be implemented for a client and want you in that role as a BA. If that is the case it is a good opportunity for you. BTW what was your expectation when you joined Infosys as a HR mba professional?

Exactly they have taken 20 people in the ACON batch who are from core HR and have an MBA.We were told it will be a functional role where we have to understand the functionality and help the technical team.I had this expectation from the role .It was written in the JD it is client facing role..you will be in pre sales, understand the process of HR ,make documents etc .On the project it was entirely technical...doing configuration and testing.

I think you have wrong expectation of how a technology service company works. Even if you are an MBA, there will be expectation from you to do configuration, minimal customization and testing . No one is going to pay you to “help”. It’s a billable role, everyone is expected to have deliverables . You need to scale up and learn the technology. Only advantage you have is proficiency in understanding domain and business.

If you have an MBA in hr why did you in the business side in infosys. I am sure they would have told you that you are not being recruited for HR function. Don’t think we have any IJP opened by hr team but you can connect with hr team and see if they have any position for you

Yes they did told me.It was campus placement and they mentioned it's functional hr role.but when got into project it was entirely technical
