Cars24 Offer Review and Help
I’m currently interviewing with cars 24 and expecting an offer from them by this week
The rough numbers given to me are base: mid 40s and 10% variable bonus (overall comes around near 50LPA) (There is no other component apart from these)
I need help with the following:
- HR told me they don’t give ESOPs etc. I just wanted to confirm if I should negotiate on this because on Leetcode I’m seeing they offered joining bonus as well as ESOPs.
- If anyone can give me details around any recent offer from them and the components they got in the offer, it would really help
My recent TC: 36L Base 25L esops per year Total workEx: 4 yrs Education: Tier 1 CSE
So this is like taking a pay cut in terms of overall TC
(Catch is I was laid off and I need this offer for the worst case scenario)

Mai bas ye bolunga ki work culture kharab hai bahot. Soch ke Jana aur layoffs huye hai waha bhi. Jis salary range me ja rahe ho agar next layoff hua toh tumhari bhi ticket kar sakti hai dost. Unke liye bahot expensive resource ho tum

I will be interviewing with them this week for the role of SDE2 frontend and I asked for 22LPA. Is it too low? I have 3.5 YOE
Not sure about this but yes according to me you can do much better than this even with them. 22 at SDE2 level seems less atleast to me. You are coming from Amazon if that’s correct, so prepare well and ask for more
PS: I have rejected the offer. It was large paycut for me and they clearly tried to low ball me
Interviewed with cars 24 recently Same, they don't give espos & quoted around 40 base Although bcoz of wlb & java role I'll prefer not to join them
