TBH , See it is a case of cheating, not rape. I still don't know how obtaining consent for sex through lies can be considered rape, it's morally wrong for sure. But this goes against the text book definition of rape, people lie to each other all the time. JFYI the guy should be punished for sure but not for rape but for cheating.

Sex, even if consensual, based on a false promise to marry is an offence under section 69 of the Indian criminal code. So if a man persuades a woman to have sex with him by promising to marry her but has no intention of fulfilling that promise, by law that is rape.

@sundaydogparkenjoyer You should correct yourself, not only is it morally wrong, but legally as well. Only thing in dispute here is the “rape” part. Surly there will be multiple other illegalities, cheating, fraud etc, and as someone else pointed out, section 69 of BNS. But yes, it is not “rape”.

Why is this on LinkedIn? Police case nahi kr sakte kya 🤷🏻

And no company would provide employment information to anyone just like that. It needs to go via proper channel.

Also asking the company and their cxo’s to address the issue. I don’t get this accountability and shit. Why should a company look what employees does in their free time.

Precisely, moreover why in the hell you would create a public drama instead of pursuing it in the court .. will people of LinkedIn do justice? If you were to say something to CXOs, write a damn letter to CXOs (include a rule based on which you want this guy to be fired). If guy is really a criminal .. law should make him a convict or atleast file an FIR to start with and any company will anyway fire him.

Quoting the post: "I am writing to bring a deeply personal and serious matter to your attention regarding Syed Mubashshir Hussain (Senior Territory Manager (Retail Head) at Cars24).

In December 2023, I encountered Mr. Hussain on Shaadi.com. After he sent me a connection request, I accepted his interest and we began a long-distance relationship with the intention of marriage. Over the last one year, we built a strong bond, communicated regularly and made plans for a future together and eventually marrying.

On November 4, 2024, Mr. Hussain visited me in Pune for the first time, during an official trip from Hyderabad, where he was attending a visa interview. During this visit, we stayed together at a hotel in Pune, where he expressed a desire for and initiated physical intimacy. I consented, believing his intentions were genuine, as he had proposed marriage and even discussed meeting my family. Over the next two days, we were sexually involved.

Before agreeing to let him meet my family, I conducted a background check and was horrified to discover that he had been married since 2022 and had been deceiving me while maintaining relationships with both his wife and me. Much of what he had told me about his family and personal life was untrue. When confronted, he denied everything including his marriage and dismissed my concerns as baseless."

These are strong and independent personalities. They hold their own parents and siblings in contempt, don't discuss anything with them in what's going on in their lives. If she would have shared about this guy with her parents or siblings earlier, they would have guided her correctly. And once they get married they hold their spouses in contempt. Nothing gender specific here, it's applicable to both genders. Always discuss what's going on in your life with your family, end of the day they are only going to come for your rescue if something goes wrong.

I saw the linked post, majority of the people are outright laughing and some even more sought more info and then laughed. Very few showed sympathy for her, some even asked her to take it as a 1 night stand and even used uncultured language. No point in posting such matters on LinkedIn, file a police complaint if you have been truly wronged. Otherwise this will be seen as a defamation stunt and she can land in trouble for that. There is no way to prove what happened inside the hotel room, no witnesses who actually witnessed the act and no CCTV cameras inside the room. And she was involved with him for over a year, it's very difficult for her to prove in court that she was cheated... Better to be safe than run around cops and courts.
