These guys were filthy rich in 60s. I'm sure their descendants are sure shot multi millionaires right now. At least worth $50+ Million. I know someone who had a premier Padmini, Contessa and a Chevrolet in 90s. He got his first Mercedes imported in 1993. He owns porsches and Bentleys now.

Yarr there is MG road in every single metro city, gurgaon, kolkata, hyderabad etc. What does really this MG in MG road means.

The Brits really built everything we take pride in today - good cities, rail infrastructure, english language, among others. India has not built a single good lasting legacy since Independence, barring statues (which also don’t seem to last).

To this day, the parts of the cities which don’t flood in our big cities are the ones built by Brits, and the ones we built flood. Cities like Chandigarh and Delhi were also planned by westerners.

Don’t say population, poverty and all that BS. Poorer countries with higher population density than us have figured urban infrastructure out.
