Career transition to Data Engineer

Hello,

I have been working as a Scrum Master for the past 6 years, managing agile processes, team coordination, and delivery. While this journey has been rewarding, I am currently facing challenges as there are limited job opportunities in the Scrum Master space.

To align myself with future career growth and market demand, I am considering a career transition into Data Engineering. However, I am an absolute beginner in this domain and would like to understand:

How much effort and time does it realistically take for someone with no coding background to become job-ready in Data Engineering?

What would be the best roadmap (skills, tools, certifications) to start this journey?

Are there professionals here who have made a similar transition from a non-technical to a technical role and can share their experience?

I would truly appreciate any guidance, mentorship, or resource suggestions from experienced Data Engineers or professionals in the field.

🙏 Looking forward to your valuable inputs
