Career switch from IT
Is it a good choice for female, of moving from IT to the teaching profession considering the pressure in IT now and in the coming years? Max to max we can withstand this pressure till 40 or 45 age. In case of teaching we can continue till 60 if we are healthy enough. Please share your thoughts and suggestions.
India sure needs good teachers. With people who are in IT and corporate at the moment, they will be able to shape the current lot of students in a better way to prepare for the future. Our syllabus is outdated it needs people with a different perspective to change the system so more power to you. You must go ahead. It will also ensure that you have time for yourself and the family as well.
This is inspiring also I got best answer to say in interview for the question why switch from IT to teaching. I have done B.ed two years back and M.sc in computers after B.Tech. Also attempted TET but disqualified in 4 marks this is with only 1 month of preparation while I am pregnant and working in TCS. My only fear is the salary we get as a teacher is very low and currently I am paying 40k emi.
