Career switch from DBA to Data Scientist or ML Engineer

Is it possible to switch from DBA to DS or ML Engineer ? How can I start with, and what can be the road map?

Because I am good with Python, SQL, and ML already. My final year project was on deep learning.

You can make switch to any X to Y, as long as you’re able to justify in interviews. DBA to Data Engineer would be an easier option, prev exp also counts. For ML engineers, many roles require masters/phd.

I will suggest to move firstly from DBA to Database/Dataawearhouse developer. Then transition into DS/ML slowly. If you right away want to swirch they it will too much learning scope and you might give up inbetween.
