Career roadmap after 7 YOE

Asking for a friend He’s relieved of his role from his current org He has aspirations to work as a PM in a company but unable to find any opportunities or else he isn’t shortlisted. Until now he has worked in 2 big companies (in Fortune 50), as a scrum master and a product analyst He’s the sole earner of his family so it’s a tough time for him Everyday is a struggle for him to cope with Anything that can help him make this transition, or how to find a PM job in this market?
