Trending @Cognizant; Career Move Advice – Cognizant to Infosys (DevOps Consultant Role)
Hi all,
I'm currently working at Cognizant, and I was promoted to Associate just last month. My updated CTC is 6.75 LPA, with a fixed component of 6 LPA. Until now, I’ve been working primarily on a support project in the DevOps space.
Recently, I interviewed with Infosys and received an offer for the role of DevOps Consultant, with a CTC of 12 LPA (fixed: 10.8 LPA).
While the hike is quite good and the designation sounds promising, I'm not entirely sure what the DevOps Consultant role typically involves, how it differs from regular DevOps/support roles, and whether it's a better career move in the long run.
It would be really helpful if anyone can share insights on:
1.The typical responsibilities of a DevOps Consultant at Infosys
2.Learning opportunities and growth trajectory
3.Work culture and project allocation
4.Whether this transition from a support role to consultant is a good move for long-term growth
Appreciate any guidance or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance!
