Career inputs

->The question is will a MBA help to make the switch or a jump easier...or having work ex and then going for MBA is better ?* I'm an economics graduate (FRESHER) and currently working under 'growth and retention' having a decent exposure as the team is small...though I plan to switch from this role to PM.

WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOME INPUT ON THIS.

Some of the best PMs I've seen were from an ecomm background. That said getting into PM becomes way easier after an MBA and getting some experience.

If you are able to crack interviews without it, really great but if not go for an MBA and start at a decent corp with decent pay. Might save you the hastles of working as a PM at small and startups.

An MBA will not magically fix your shortcomings.
If you are targeting PM roles then an MBA can help but only if you go to a top tier college
Having work experience is always more desirable as relevant past experience helps stand out during MBA placements like a company hiring for PM roles will more likely shortlist people with past product or SWE experience but is not mandatory and luck plays a important role. Personally I think everyone should have atleast 1.5 years of experience before doing an MBA but I have seen freshers also excel in some cases.
