Hi family members,

I'm in the support team of a project in Oracle unit and we are 4 members in that team, we work on both Oracle EBS and Oracle cloud. I'm the one who is the most senior (2.2 years) in the team. i can do A to Z tasks solely in that team.

For the past 6 months I have been requesting my manager to provide a opportunity in Oracle cloud functional/technical in the same project. But every tim he simply says as of now no vacancy in our project will move you when we have.

Assume the other three members are A,B, C.

B is the person who can handle everything and equally to me (in terms of work and handling). But he resigned and will shift the company. His last work day will be at the end of the month of May.

The remaining two persons can't handle all the tasks solely or together. They always lack in process, and knowledge to accomplish the tasks. They always need my inputs or they need me in a call while doing tasks to monitor and guide them correctly even though it is repeating tasks.

my team leads and my manager also knows that. That's why they offered an official lead role in that team and they want me to continue 6 more months in that support team.

But i rejected it, as i hate the same copy/paste job where no use out of that project and no hike since joining (2.5yrs) and during my employee confirmation they changed my CTC from 3.6 to 3.75LPA only and after released from training directly allocated in this project no bench time for me. but same batchmate who joined with me and still on bench there CTC is changed to 3.9LPA.

I asked my Manager about the same and questioned strongly. He said l don't know what the reason is for that revisioned CTC, it is a decision by PU head not under my control.

In simple terms, the person who is on the bench is getting more than me and no use of my work out of the project.

What are your views on my manager? Will he provide opportunities soon for me? Or will he simply keep me in the same team?

How about a different company. Please keep that as an option as well 👍

Yeah bro, but I don't want to do the same work here/ anywhere, want something in demand and future.

Look at the positive side of it. You got another 6months to learn, re learn, maybe build something based on your tech stack. And use all of them for your interview. You know your work in your current project, so I am assuming it won't always be hectic every time, so you must be getting some time for preparations.
You should definitely use that to get out from here.

my suggestion seeing the current environment take up the lead role and ask for proper compensation as well. and use the time to switch and develop you skills within next 9 months

Due to maximum word restrictions not being able to ask on the post, so continue in the comments.

Do I need to learn and try my own way for different projects ?
