Career Decision – Need Guidance
I’ve received an offer from Infosys with a 30% hike for an Azure Data Engineering role, which aligns well with my career goals. I’ve completed 4 years of experience at TCS, currently working in a different domain, but have been looking for a switch to Azure Data Engineering.
TCS has shown interest in retaining me with a promotion to C2 in the next cycle and has assured support for a domain change within 3–4 months (confirmed via email). However, this means continuing in the same domain until then.
I’m a bit unsure whether the internal change will definitely happen or if there could be delays or changes later. I would really appreciate your guidance on the possible consequences and what would be the best step to take.
Promotion to C2 increases your package by how much?
They couldn't gave you the support when you are working and now when you are resigning they are offering full support? Sounds like they will just keep you, when the promotion and domain change time comes they will say "take approval from someone whom you have never known", "budget problem" when it comes to promotion.
Tell them you can't wait for next cycle, if they want to promote and allow for domain change that should happen NOW.
Promotion to c2 may increase upto 10-15%
@MutedBorrower59 ask for same 30% hike and domain change for retain. Don't wait for promotion it can freeze at anytime.
