Career choices for a retired Indian Airforce Officer
My father is retiring from the Indian Air Force this year after over 34 years of service. He’s currently pursuing a business diploma from a top IIM to prepare for his post-retirement career.
He specializes in communications, IT, and network infrastructure, and his last role was as of the IAF Chief of Signals. He’s keen to continue working after retirement, and I’m curious about the kind of opportunities that might align with his experience and expertise.

Hi, you can search for careers for veterans on google and you'll find results that some of the firms offer some sort of programs to integrate them into the corporate careers.

Thanks, I will do that.
I used to think when people say veteran hiring, they think of someone who had a short service and retired early. But my father is a veteran with 35yrs of experience and 57yo. Will that be a hinderance?

During my induction at Deloitte USI, there were at least 20 ex-servicemen who also joined the firm.
