Career Advice needed urgently - Joining Tekion as SSE
Hi everyone,
I’m about to join Tekion as a Senior Software Engineer, and while I’m grateful for the opportunity and the compensation is quite good, I’m feeling a bit anxious and could really use some advice from the community.
I have 5 years of experience, currently in the fintech domain, and this will be my 5th company (including internship) — mainly due to a few layoffs that happened along the way, not by choice. I’ve already exited my last role and, to be transparent, I don’t have any other offers right now. This adds to the pressure of making this role work.
That said, I’ve heard mixed things about work-life balance at Tekion. Some say it’s intense, others say it depends on the team. I’m not afraid of hard work, but I do want to maintain some balance and avoid burnout.
So here’s where I’d appreciate help:
Would love to hear honest thoughts — feel free to DM if you're more comfortable sharing privately. Thanks in advance!

I think it's fine to join bro.
How much is your ctc and base btw you got from tekion?
I feel you should try to work out for 6-10 months and then again prepare if the relationship is going toxic but it depends on team and my friend is working there since 1 year he said it's fine
Hectic sometimes
Chill sometimes.
If no other options then why worry so much? Just join and give your best
How many hours do you actually work per day?
For me 5 - I start by 11 and end by 7 but take an hour lunch break, 4-5 tea/coffee breaks and some gossips - I tracked one day and it was 5.2 hrs.
What about you?

I have adhd so I don't (read : can't) work until 2 days before sprint is about to get over then wrap the stuff up wit...

Start at 9, go till 9. All due to fuckall calls and people taking download to present to higher ups

9+ hours Also require to attend US time zone meetings/collaboration
