Career Advice Needed: Full-Time B.Tech or Part-Time While Working?
Hey everyone, I’d like to share a bit of my journey and ask for your thoughts or suggestions.
I'm a 25-year-old working professional who started out with a Diploma in Electronics and Communication (passed out in 2021). Honestly, I wasn't very academically strong (had some backlogs too), but I was always more inclined towards real-world tech, hands-on work, and problem-solving.
During college, I got placed in a reputed company but wasn’t really interested in that domain. I joined under pressure and ended up quitting within a year. I later switched my domain, and for the past 2 years, I’ve been working in Synechron and growing well.
I’m currently in a great team with supportive seniors, got promoted, and I’m actually enjoying what I do. But now, I’m facing a common issue—not having a full-fledged engineering degree. It’s not affecting my current job, but I worry it might limit future opportunities when switching companies or going for higher roles.
Now here's the key point: 💰 I do have some savings — enough to pursue a full-time B.Tech if I really want to. I don’t have major financial pressure, so I could pause my job and study full-time if it truly makes sense.
So here’s where I need help: 👉 Should I now pursue a full-time B.Tech/B.E. to strengthen my qualifications? 👉 Or should I go for a Work Integrated/Part-Time/Distance program while continuing to work and gain experience?
Your thoughts, guidance, or shared experiences would mean a lot!
