Career Advice Needed.

Hi all, I’m an AI Scientist at a startup in Bangalore with 3 years of experience. I’ve worked across tech and business—building full-stack Python apps (Flask, FastAPI, DB), including a RAG-based NLP tool, and deploying them end-to-end. While I’m a jack of many trades, I lack deep specialization, especially in AI. I’m passionate about NLP but haven’t had the chance to explore it deeply.

Lately, growth feels stagnant. I’ve been applying for jobs but haven’t had much success in interviews. I’m now considering Data Engineering courses to expand my skillset but unsure if that’s the right move.

My goal is to switch to a better role with a good package by year-end. Would love advice on whether to focus on NLP depth, pivot to data engineering, or any other path worth exploring.
