Career advice needed

I worked in oracle for 12 years, but fired last month. Need to prepare a lot because worked on shitty tech stack in oracle but not getting the motivation to prepare after hearing news for lay offs everywhere and overwhelmed by the material. And with that not getting courage to apply for interviews. Should i try to change my career towards teaching in some college or work towards preparing. Will 6 month gap create an issue in the career?

Im sorry to hear that. You can try universities like Worxen. Heard that they pay well. And since you have more than 10yrs of corporate experience, you will be hired at professor level and not have to start at associate level. You will be considered "Professor of practice".. Something of that sort.

I know this because i completed my masters recently.. heard these things.

I don't know about IT career so don't want to advise anything.
