Trending @Accenture; Career Advice from seniors

Hi, I am currently working as an ABAP developer, it's been 1.4 years now since i joined Accenture and been in this project.

The thing is I hate ABAP, i don't want to make a career out of it, and that is clear to me. The issue is, can you genuinely answer how?

I mean how to focus among all these languages, and technology, how do I pace up all of that for the interview.. Also if ABAP background will intervene in my interview for any developer roles? Would love to hear from your experiences, how you all tackled it. I don't know when I can switch to domain I like(anything other than ABAP, may it java, or fullstack dev anything ). Pls help.

I was in same situation in the beginning of my career worked for 2 years in sap bw but during same time i used to have lots free time which i invested in studying and later switched to different org as a frontend developer. Switching in this market may be tough but keep applying once you got the basic knowledge of the tech you are switching to.

So you joined the other company with same level, or a level higher than you were working?

you can change your stream if you are less than 5 yoe, after that things become difficult

but yes please keep on study late nights , sacrifice as much as possible, you will rewarded someday and don’t expect the reward immediately
best wishes
