Hey folks, Looking for some honest takes from people who’ve been through this.
I joined Infosys as a fresher after my MBA, currently 2 YOE (JL4, Data Analyst). Spend first 6 months in training code, been with one client for past year(client is from UK)
After my manager left, I had to pick up extra responsibilities.
Been working hard, putting in extra hours (emphasis on extra)
Lately, I’ve been hearing stuff like “you’re on the map”, “we’ll groom you for leadership”, and “you’re being considered for a visa”.
Thing is… I’m not sure how much of this is real and how much is just standard company talk(bullshitting)
So I’ve got 2 main questions:

What’s the realistic growth path at Infosys for someone in my shoes?

I’ve always wanted to go for a product role eventually — should I double down here or start checking for the right people to connect with.

Infosys had nearly 3 lakh Employees.The promises made to you may be true may be false we can not say.Because we have large employee count it not correct to say every manger in infosys bad or every manager in infosys is good.Is only depends on which project did do land and how is work in you project etc.What you are hearing may be completely true or a complete bullshit.So get every this in written like email that you are nominated for visa or you will get visa in so and so date etc but still thses may be false claims.So your 2 main question what should you do.Double down here and also look for right people or right company outside infosys.

In infosys things work only if you take growth in your own hands. Don’t relay on your managers. Make name for yourself across the unit, be visible to your leadership (DM), volunteer for extra things. Else things will move dead slow. Just doing your work alone on project will rarely give fast growth.
