Trending @Capgemini; Capgemini is kicking me out when I am pregnant! Please help 🙏

I had to go abroad USA with my husband and I asked my higher management if there is any opportunity to go USA from the project/other projects. But my supervisor and Hr told there is no onsite opportunity or no employment transfer is possible for me so I had to resign. I put the paper down in May and my LWD is 31st July,2024. Meanwhile my circumstances has been changed, I came to know I am pregnant almost about 2 months and I am not suggested to travel abroad in this stage. So I decided to stay in Capgemini and withdrew my resignation. But in this critical condition of my life, my supervisor, service delivery manager, two female HRs had rejected my resignation withdrawal request and told me the reason that there is no open position for me to stay in Capgemini,so they had to reject it. Now I am under huge pressure about my financial support, medical insurance and many things to afford my life in this condition, and as they rejected my resignation withdrawal request it pushed me in a huge tension and pressure which is unbearable in pregnancy period. Now I am suffering in mental trouble which is not at all good in the initial stage of pregnancy. In this way, Capgemini is not supporting a female employee in her pregnancy period who served the organisation her level best. Please help me, please let me know what action can save me, how can I stay in the organisation in this critical condition of my life?

When you found out you were pregnant, you decided to apologize, but that comes across as selfish. Before, when you were planning to travel to the USA, you didn’t consider the impact on Capgemini or the project. You can’t blame the organization; I’m also a mother of a 4-year-old, and I have to say that Capgemini is one of the best places for women.

Where does the word apologize comes from? I was letting them know my current situation and I wanted to stay in the organisation. They didn't consider the criticality and did not retain me, simply kicked me out so that they don't want to provide salary of the maternity leave months.
And you are talking about the impact on project or company? They told there is no open position in the project and not even in the whole organisation. I hope u understood their mentality!

Anyway, from your comment,I understood why people say - women are not supporting women!nice!

Oh is it,,, WOW I think only for you it is best company not for everybody
Just because you didn’t face any issues with them it doesn’t mean that it is good company
She clearly explained what they did to her, even through she had take her resignation back within time period
They have to approve it because until last day you have right to take your resignation back. Please support woman as you are also a women

As per my knowledge there is a specific time period for withdrawing resignation. I dont think just a week before LWD anyone will allow it. They might have even found a replacement for you. In this last stage thats the only thing we can expect from any company. You cannot say that company is kicking you out during your pregnancy. Its you who have resigned and served almost whole of your np. Now you have other alternatives to choose from.

  1. Try for other opportunities outside
  2. Wait for one more month and then travel to US to stay with your husband
  3. Take a break for sometime, which will be beneficial for both you and your baby.

Don't take any stress at this stage. As you know, its not good for you and your baby. Preference should be for your health and not job. I don't see any point in worrying about financial condition as your husband will be able to support you. So be happy. Choose the best option which is available rather than worrying about what you don't have. Happy days are not far away.

With all do respect to her, do you think new organizations will hire her considering she'll soon be going on a maternity leave? Won't they give preference to other candidates in this case?

So, you mean to say that

  1. You resigned when there wasn’t any option or opportunities option available for On-site through Capgemini
  2. Then after 2 months of serving notice period, when you realised you are expecting, you tried to withdraw your resignation?
  3. And this is when Capgemini says that you can’t withdraw as there aren’t any open positions, correct?

Yes. As I came to know about my pregnancy and I will be not able to travel abroad, I decided to stay here at Capgemini and withdrew resignation but they rejected.

Also, how many exact days before your last working day, you tried to withdraw your resignation?

One week before the last working day... The time when my USG report came and confirmed.
