Trending @Capgemini; Capgemini Hinjewadi Pune- Water logging and traffic issues
Due to recent rains, it is taking around 1 hour to 1.5 hours to cover 6-7 kms while going to Hinjawadi Pune office and the return journey is horrific with almost 2 hours to cover the same distance. The authorities aren’t doing anything to fill the potholes , make better roads or solve the tremendous water logging issue. Been spending almost 3 hours + everyday just for travel, along with that the mandatory in-office hours is a recipe for no life outside of office. The companies should take some action when it is so difficult to commute.
They should give WFH for the whole monsoon season this year and actively work on fixing the damn issue! It's a nightmare to traveling daily to office and then to return back. I'm more concerned these days about how I would reach office/room than my actual work. Its the same story every year! For how long are we supposed to work like this?! The authorities are completely useless and ignorant!

Instead of here make a complaint to hr so they will know and make it possible

Yes it is getting very pathetic day by day

Go to talawade its awesome option

Am wondering now should I move to Pune or not, september I have a joining in Pune location. Is Pune really good? Hearing so much of these infra issues. I might have to look for accomodation

I’ve been facing the same issue every day, but today was particularly difficult to travel due to the heavy rainfall. At one point, the water level was so high that half of my vehicle was submerged. The most unexpected moment was just before I reached the office—one of my sandals came off and floated away. I was stupid enough to wear sandals instead of shoes. Companies should consider reducing the WFO days during these two months.

I do 35km one way
