CapGemini & the Rise of Day-0 GL@$$D00R Reviews

Something I’ve been noticing on GL@$$D00R around CapGemini feels… questionable.

There’s a surge of highly positive reviews from “new joiners” — some posted before they’ve even officially started, others immediately after onboarding.

But here’s the real question:

If someone hasn’t actually worked inside the CapGemini yet, how can they genuinely review its culture, leadership, workload, or growth opportunities?

Culture isn’t something you understand from an offer letter or onboarding slides. It’s experienced over time.

CapGemini rarely says, “Write a positive review.”

Instead, the language is softer: “Share your experience.” “Help us build our employer brand.” “Drop a review if you’re happy.” "It's a part of onboarding process."

On paper, it looks voluntary.

But when this messaging happens during onboarding — sometimes in structured settings — it creates a grey area.

Is it truly optional? Or does it feel expected?

When timing, context, and power dynamics align, encouragement can start to fell like subtle pressure.

And here’s why it matters:

Candidates trust these reviews. They make serious career decisions based on them. Some may reject other opportunities because the online narrative looks overwhelmingly positive.

GL@$$D00R was meant to promote transparency.

If reviews are written before real experience, that transparency gets diluted.

If reviews are meant to reflect lived experience, shouldn’t they come after actual experience?

Curious — has anyone else observed similar patterns?

These r fake reviews and they r there on glassdoor from long time for so many companies.

I checked the recent reviews — many appear to be from employees who’ve just joined. Based on visible joining timelines, these seem to be posted very early. That doesn’t make them fake, but it does raise questions about how representative they are of long-term experience.
